Oregon Elementary School Shooting: Tragedy and Heroic Intervention
A tragic shooting occurred at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon, resulting in the deaths of three children aged 5, 8, and 11, and a teacher. Two others were critically injured. The suspect was shot and killed by a bystander, Caleb Giamanco, a 36-year-old resident with two daughters at the school. It is noteworthy that the school district does not allow teachers to carry weapons, classifying it as a gun-free zone.
