About Pedro & Luciana Bartes
Luciana and Pedro Bartes are a married team who have been in the Seattle area airwaves for more than 25 years. They started at the turn of the century doing a show from 2 to 6 am on 89.9 FM KGRG, what used to be Green River College student-run radio station. They then hosted shows on Salem Media Seattle’s Spanish station, Radio Sol for a couple of years. After that, they moved on to produce radio shows in English, like Radio-Hall-of-Famer “The Bob Rivers Show” for 8 years, and “The Marty and Jodi Show” for 6. For 6 years, they were also the hosts of iHeat Media Seattle's Public Affairs Show which aired on 7 radio stations. In 2023 they started hosting another show together, “The Sound of the Puget Sound,” for Salem Media Seattle. In August 2025, the program changed its name to “The Sound of the Pacific Northwest” and started airing in Salem Media Portland as well.
