Federal agents reportedly searched the Washington, D.C., residence of Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar on Monday morning as part of an investigation involving allegations of immigration fraud.
Multiple reports indicate the search is connected to an ongoing federal investigation into Omar's immigration paperwork.
The reported search comes approximately one month after Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin publicly discussed an investigation involving the congresswoman during an interview with conservative podcaster Benny Johnson.
During the interview, Mullin said federal authorities were investigating allegations involving a fraudulent immigration scheme.
The allegations against Omar have not been proven, and the existence of an investigation does not establish wrongdoing.
Authorities have not publicly released details about what agents were seeking during the reported search or whether any evidence was collected.
It remains unclear whether Omar will face any charges in connection with the investigation.

Florida's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Blaise Ingoglia discusses the state's response and recovery efforts following Hurricane Isaias. Approximately 450,000 Floridians remain without power, with progress in restoring electricity, especially in areas near beaches. The storm caused widespread fallen trees but relatively minimal structural damage. While some rivers may flood, the situation has been manageable so far. Mandatory evacuations were issued for barrier islands in the storm's path. Fortunately, there have been minimal casualties, with only two reported fatalities. In the aftermath, Ingoglia warns residents to be vigilant against fraudulent contractors and scammers. He encourages residents to verify the credentials of anyone offering repair services and to report suspicious activity to law enforcement. The state's coordinated response and preparedness have been praised, with hopes that power will be fully restored soon.
President Donald Trump announced Sunday that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to an immediate ceasefire targeting attacks on energy infrastructure, a potential step toward easing the ongoing conflict.
Trump made the announcement on Truth Social, saying both countries had agreed to halt attacks on each other's energy facilities.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv supports the proposed ceasefire and is prepared to stop striking Russian energy facilities if Moscow agrees to do the same.
Zelensky welcomed the announcement but said Ukraine had not been informed of the agreement in advance and was awaiting additional details from Washington.
The Ukrainian leader also accused Russia of continuing attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, including a strike on a thermal power plant in Kharkiv.
Zelensky called on the United States to help ensure Russia honors any agreement, saying a mutual halt to energy strikes could become an important step toward ending the conflict.
The Kremlin has not publicly confirmed the terms of the proposed ceasefire.
The Justice Department is investigating five major television networks over possible antitrust violations involving coordinated decisions about White House press coverage.
The investigation centers on whether ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News and NBC engaged in a group boycott after President Donald Trump restricted White House access for certain news organizations.
The dispute began after the Trump administration barred CNN, MS NOW and Politico from participating in the White House television press pool. The networks subsequently took coordinated action regarding pooled coverage.
Justice Department officials argue that agreements among competing companies to participate in a group boycott can violate the Sherman Antitrust Act, which prohibits certain practices that restrict competition.
However, press freedom advocates maintain that news organizations have constitutional protections when making editorial decisions, including decisions about how to cover the White House.
The investigation raises questions about the relationship between federal antitrust enforcement and First Amendment protections for news organizations.
The investigation does not establish that any of the networks violated federal law.
